This is the members’ area of the Agile Lawyers Association (ALASSN, L3C).
If you’re looking for the company information, possible to submit and application to the Board, join a Committee or provide sponsorship, please go to Board & Business, where program management and administrative issues are handled.
The Agile Lawyers Association begins with the “radical” idea that the people who are doing the work know how best to get the work done. In our case, the ‘work” is helping to work out the kinks in the legal profession: how we practice law, how we relate to colleagues and how we provide services to clients.
Of course, there are many ways of working towards this goal. Our chosen way ( not capitalized as “Way”) is through exploration and implementation of Agile and Lean practices.
In the beginning, we will beg, borrow and probably steal ideas from manufacturing, software development, healthcare and even sports. But, we will eventually make these concepts our own. We’ll put our own spin on them, improving and fall backwards as we go.
If you think of the high jumper idiomatically, that’s us! Sometimes, our journey together may feel more like a shot put,–other times we’ll have “A ha!” moments are ideas will soar like javelins!
All in all, it’s going to be a great 50 years or so!
